In the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, as in other areas of the country, traffic crashes cause a human toll. Each year, we lose friends and neighbors in situations that data shows could typically have been avoided. While this blog will sometimes feature statistics, which Paul Brodeur says are "human beings with the tears wiped off," it is our hope that we can dialogue, share information, brainstorm- basically do whatever it takes to make human suffering disappear from our roadways.
